1. For the circuit below find the Thevenin equivalent between terminals ‘a’ and ‘b’.
(Answer: Vth=10V, Rth=10Ω)

2. Find the Thevenin equivalent of the given circuit below at terminals a-b.
(Answer: Vth=60V, Rth=2.857 kΩ)

3. Determine the Thevenin equivalent of the given circuit below at terminals a-b.
(Answer: Vth=92V, Rth=28 Ω)
4. Find Norton equivalent resistance RN and current IN at terminals a-b of the circuit shown
below. (Answer : IN=4.5A, RN= 90Ω)

4. Find the Norton equivalent with respect to terminals a-b in the circuit shown below.
(Answer: IN=666.67mA, RN=10 Ω)

6. Find the current through R2 in the figure below using superposition theorem. The values of
resistances are in Ohms. (Answer: The current through R2 is 0.1 A following from nodes D to B).
7. Use superposition theorem to calculate the current in the 3 volts and 4 volts sources in the
network shown below. The values of resistances are in Ohms. (Answer: The current through
3 V source is 0.81 A flowing from node B to node A, the current through 4 V source is 0.469
A flowing from node A to node F).

8. Use source transformation to calculate the value of voltage va in the circuit below.
(Answer: va =7V)

9.Calculate the value of io in the circuit below using source transformation.


(Answer: io=1.78A)

10. Assume Io=1A, use linearity property to calculate the actual value of Io for the circuit
below. (Answer: Io=3A)
