Main idea 1 : Focus on beliefs


Supporting idea :
-  We don’t follow the leaders because we have to, but because we
want to 
- The most successful business do more than just describe the
features and benefits of their products
- Sinek believes that great leaders focus on what they believe, For
example, Martin Luther King Jr, stood out as a great leader 
Main idea 2 : Not all Leaders Inspire
Supporting idea :
- Although leaders have a position of authority or power, people
who lead us inspire us
- We follow who lead, not for them but for ourselves.

Main idea 1: Mysterious canopy
Supporting idea
- Nadkarni studied a special group of plants called epiphytes
- There are over 28000 species of epiphytes, they are called “air
plants” because most do not have roots in the ground
- They absorb water and nutrition from the atmosphere
Main idea 2: Clinging to life

The canopy communities of epiphytes are fragile
Humans have destroyed many rain forests to make room for agriculture
and others activities
The mosses take a long time to recover

Nadkarni realized that she needed to reach out to the general public

Supporting ideas :
- Many people need eyeglasses, but there often aren’t enough eye
doctors in the developing world
- Silver invented the special eyeglasses which make it easier for
people to adjust their myopia by themselves
- It is a cheap product
Main idea 2: Fuel briquettes
Supporting ideas:
- Smoke from indoor cooking kills more than 2 million children
each year
- Amy Smith discovered a way to make a safe cooking fuel with
higher burning performance
- The material she uses is also free and plentiful
Main idea 3: Disaster Shelters
Supporting ideas:
- Over 31 million people worldwide lose their homes every year due
to natural disasters
- Micheal McDaniel invented inexpensive, temporary housing for
people in these situations
- They’re made from plastic that is strong, recyclable and super light
