While the Image of St.Joseph is entering the church “Pagsamo kay San Jose” is
sung. When the image arrived on its proper place the priest will begin the rite
saying:
+ A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew 1:16, 18-21, 24a
WELCOMING PRAYER
Priest: As one community, let us welcome St.Joseph in our midst and ask that his
visit among us may inspire us to respond to the mission Christ set before us today.
O Great St.Joseph, Faithful spouse of the Blessed Virgin and Foster Father of our
Savior Jesus Christ, We joyfully welcome you here in our beloved Church.
It is an honor and blessing for us to have you here with us to give us inspiration,
hope and Guidance on your visit. We entrust to you our priest/s, lay leaders,
ministries, organizations and our whole community.
Protect us O dear St.Joseph and influence us to work for the good of all and for the
greater glory of God. Amen.
All together:
Hail, Guardian of the Redeemer,
Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
To you God entrusted his only Son;
in you Mary placed her trust;
with you Christ became man.
Blessed Joseph, to us too,
show yourself a father
and guide us in the path of life.
Obtain for us grace, mercy and courage,
and defend us from every evil. Amen.
DISMISSAL
Priest: May almighty God bless you the Father, + and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
People: And with your spirit.
Then the Community will sing the AWIT KAY SAN JOSE while the priest incenses the Image
of St.Joseph.
