VISITOR INDUCTION

WELCOME TO THE PROJECT / FACILITY

The projects are important to the Client and McConnell Dowell and we are keen that the works are completed within
budget and on schedule. These objectives, however, are not so important that we are prepared to compromise the
safety of you and your workmates or cause serious harm to the environment.
The project / facility has a number of hazards associated with pre-fabrication, construction, operating plants and
equipments. If you notice an unsafe situation while on site, please assist by reporting it to your escort. No visitor or
person is allowed to conduct any work on site, unless they have completed the full (Insert Project / Facility Name)
specific Induction Course. Please assist by adhering to these safety requirements while you are in the site.

VISITORS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED AT ALL TIMES

Safety can be managed by establishing safe work methods and provision of appropriate training and safety
equipment, however, the most essential element is a “safe attitude” and that is in your hands. Please keep safety in
your mind while you are in the site.

Remember the following on site:
 You MUST be accompanied by a fully inducted person while visiting the site.
 All visitors, including people making deliveries must report to the site office and sign in/out.
 Be aware of restricted access areas.
 Report any unsafe or potentially unsafe situation and/or environmental incident.
 Wear the correct PPE at all times in the site.
 Do not smoke inside buildings or vehicles and smoke only in the designated area/s.
 Site Safety and Environmental Signage must be adhered to
 Comply with any other rules / safety requirements for the site.
 Possession, consumption or being under the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs will not be permitted on site
 Firearms and explosives are not permitted on site
 Do not work or walk whilst operating a mobile phone
 Speed limits must be observed by all site personnel
