The movie takes place in New York, in the neighborhood of Manhattan. Parts of the movie are set in
Switzerland. On 25/12/2013 the movie was released in the United States, and on 17/01/2014 it was
released in Spain.

The main protagonist of the film was the young investor Jordan Belfor, the role of Jordan Belfor was
played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
The supporting actors were Jonah Hill as Donnie Azoff, Margot Robie as Naomi Lapaglia and Matthew
McConaughey as Mark Hanna. In my opinion the characters were all very well played. Especially Jordan
Belfor played by Leonardo DiCaprio, he is well played. I like him very much as he is in the movie and he is
very realistic.
The plot of the movie is about a young stockholder with a money making mentality, he started as an
assistant in a stock exchange bank, and was getting ideas until he alone with some friends stockholders
created a stock company called Stratton Oakmont.
The company grew very fast, and they began to swindle people, they also began to launder money and
to play with the prices of the stock market.
The police finally caught them and the company was dissolved, and the bosses of the company went to
prison.
I think it's a great story, because it's interesting and the movie makes it fun.
The Wolf of Wall Street is not based on a book, but it is based on real facts, this happened during the
years 1985 and 1998.
The Wolf of Wall Street was a box office success, grossing over $350 million. 170 million in the United
States and 120 million in foreign countries. In Barcelona more than a million people went to the cinema
to see it.
The film's budget exceeds 100 million. Leonardo Dicaprio was paid around 10 million dollars. Johan Hill,
the second protagonist of the film, was only paid $60,000, since he lowered his salary to the minimum in
order to be in the movie. He was very excited to be in the movie.
Other salaries ranged from 100,000 to 1,000,000 dollars, depending on the importance of the film.

The cinematography of the wolf of wall street is by Rodrigo Prieto, it is a very good cinematography, the
pictures are very well taken.
Also the soundtrack of the movie is very cheerful, there are parts of the movie that not so much. During
the movie there are songs from singers like Billy Joel, Anthony Newley, Sir Mix a Lot among others.
There are many good scenes in this movie, but I choose two of them.
The first one, when Jordan Belfort is on his boat, and a policeman comes to tell him that he is being
investigated. And Jordan Belfort starts to tease him. This scene is very funny to me. And the second best
scene for me is when at the end of the week they have won a lot of money and have a huge party in the
offices.

The Wolf of Wall Street is full of special effects, in structures, in landscapes, special effects so good
that they seem real. In one scene of the movie, there is a beautiful beach, with many houses, in reality
there was only a croma and sand on the ground.
At the end of the movie you feel what the movie transmits is ambition and power. There are also
moments in which you can empathize with the actors.
It is a movie with critics for some scenes, but in general it is a movie that critics have liked a lot.
The Wolf of Wall Street was nominated for many awards at the Oscars, but in the end it won nothing, as
well as at the BAFTA awards. But it won a Golden Globe for best comedy actor Leonardo Dicaprio.

From 1 to 10 I give it an 8, it's comedy, money related and I like these things. This movie is not for all the
public, but people who like the stock market and comedy love this movie. But in general fans will like it. I
think people should see this movie because apart from the drugs, whores and things like that, it's a very
good movie.
The end of the movie Jordan Belfort and his group of friends are taken to jail for fraud, his house is taken
away with all his money, his company is closed down, etc.
The meaning of the movie is to explain these facts that happened in reality.
