7. Separate wire leads from terminal block coming into housing. Note position of cable glands and pull cables through cable glands.
8. Remove two motor cover bolts (12)

9. Unscrew motor cover (9) counterclockwise from housing adapter.
10. Remove seven socket head cap screws (33 and 34) from housing adapter (11).

Page 8
11. Insert a 1/4” Allen wrench into the override socket and turn clockwise to drive the worm and motor housing assembly from monitor.

12. Remove four bolts (33) from housing adapter and pull out motor.

13. Remove old coupling from motor shaft by loosening set screw, pulling off coupling, and set aside. Do not discard drive key (105), it must be reused.

14. On the output shaft (18), remove the thrust bearing (22), washers (21), and worm gear (20). Remove drive key (19) from shaft. Do not discard.
All components must be reused.
15. Pull output shaft through housing adapter. Do not lose the thrust bearing and washers, these must be reused.

Page 9
16. Remove old coupling from output shaft by loosening set screw and pulling off coupling. Do not discard drive key (105), it must be reused.

17. A) For Standard Monitors (Zone 2 and 22), install the new 5/8” bore coupling (17) onto the output shaft so that the shaft is flush with
the coupling hub. Use Permabond LM113 or Loctite 222 on the set screw threads.

B) For Non rotating hand wheel Zone 2 , Zone 1 & 21, Stainless steel monitors, install the new 1/2” bore coupling (17) onto
the output shaft so that the shaft projects 11/32” through the coupling hub. Use Permabond LM113 or Loctite 222 on the set screw threads.

Page 10
18. For Non rotating hand wheel Zone 2 , Zone 1 & 21, Stainless steel monitors, install the thrust washer (21) from field service
kit on output shaft, behind coupling as shown. Apply lubriplate or mobilith SHC 460 grease to both sides of the washer.

19. A) For Standard Monitors (Zone 2 and 22), install the new 3/4” bore coupling (15) onto the motor shaft. Motor shaft should project
5/16” through the coupling. Use Permabond LM113 or Loctite 222 on the set screw threads.

Page 11
B) For Non rotating hand wheel Zone 2 , Zone 1 & 21, Stainless steel monitors, install the new 3/4” bore coupling (15) onto
the motor shaft. Motor shaft should project 3/32” through the coupling. Use Permabond LM113 or Loctite 222 on the set screw threads.

20. Place coupling spider (16) onto motor coupling.

21. Place output shaft onto motor coupling and spider.

Page 12
22. Insert the motor + coupling + output shaft into the housing adapter

23. Apply Lubriplate or Mobilith SHC 460 grease to the output shaft. Reinstall the thrust washer, thrust bearing, and thrust washer as shown.
Apply grease to each component.

24. Install the drive key (19) for the worm gear and install the worm gear (20).
25. Install the thrust washer, thrust bearing, and thrust washer onto the output shaft. Apply Lubriplate or Mobilith SHC 460 grease to each component.

Page 13

26. Install the new O-ring (43) on housing adapter.

27. Insert motor housing assembly back into monitor. Use 1/4” Allen wrench in the override socket and turn counterclockwise to drive the worm and
motor housing assembly into the monitor.

28. Install seven socket head cap screws into housing adapter. The shorter screw (34) is for the blind hole in the casting. Use Permabond LM113 or
Loctite 222 on the screw threads.

Outlet Elbow:
This hole receives short screw

Inlet Elbow:
This hole receives short screw

29. Attach motor cover onto housing adapter by rotating it clockwise. Tighten until cable glands and housing bolt tabs line up with housing
adapter as noted in step 4.
30. Install two motor cover bolts (12). Use Permabond LM113 or Loctite 222 on the screw threads.
31. Insert cables through cable glands. Attach wire leads to terminal block.
