Following the below steps to solve the issue.

1. Open AMDEU 2023.

2. File > Import > Browse.
3. Select the STEP file > Open.
4. Click on Resources.
5. Click on Advanced > Trimming.
6. Uncheck the box Attempt healing of faces and solids.
7. Click Apply > Ok.
8. Click on Import.

For the default setting replace the attached file in the below location.

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Manufacturing Data Exchange Utility 2023\sys\schemas\resources
