1. Most bolts have hexagonal heads and a spanner is often used to turn them.
2. When a bolt is tightened, the tension in its shaft increases and the components being bolted
together are pressed tightly together.
3. Spring washers are designed to be compressed, to allow the amount of preload to be
adjusted as the bolt is tightened.

1. Većina vijaka ima šestougaone glave I ključ koji se obično koristi za njihovo okretanje.

2. Kada se vijak zategne, napetost u njegovoj osovini se povećava I komponente koje se spajaju
vijcima se čvrsto stisnu jedna uz drugu.

3. Opružne podloške su dizajnirane da se pritisnu, kako bi se omogućilo podešavanje količine

prednatezanja kako se vijak zateže.

1. Zakovice se ubacuju u prethodno probušenu rupu i one se pričvršćuju uz pomoć posebnog

alata.
2. Vijci bez navrtka imaju trup sa žlijebovima i postavljaju se u prethodno izbušene rupe.
3. Vijci koji fiksiraju dijelove pritiskom jednog kraja vijka na dio koji se spaja da bi se stvorilo
trenje i spriječilo klizanje se nazivaju podešeni vijci.

1. The rivets are inserted into the pre-drilled hole and they are fastened with the help of a special
tool.

2. Screws have a grooved shaft and they are installed in pre-drilled holes.

3. Bolts that fix parts by pressing one end of the bolt against the part to be joined to create friction
and prevent sliding are called set screws.

1. The process of connecting using rivets (proces spajanja uz korištenje zakovica)

2. Difference between lap joints and butt joint (Razlika između čeonih i preklopnih spojeva)

1. Riveting ( the process of connecting using rivets) is forging process that may be used power for
fixing the parts by using the part of metal known as the rivet.

2. In lap joint plates overlapped each other, the rivets are inserted in the overlapped region.

In butt joint the plates to be joined is kept alignment butting/touching without forming an
overlap.
