water to reach the deep roots but applied less frequently as compared with fibrous roots
which need less amount of water.
-Helps to plan for a crop rotation sequence. Tap rooted crops are alternated with shallow
rooted crops.
14. -Millet will supply feed for poultry reducing feed costs

-Poultry will provide farm yard manure for maize reducing fertilizer costs

-Beans will fix nitrogen used by millet reducing fertilizer costs


-Bean meal will provide feed for poultry reducing feed costs
-Water in the pond will be used for irrigating beans and millet hence harvesting more than
once in a season.
