STORY WRITING

Description You’d like to write a short story for your monthly school magazine. It ends with
“I was so relieved. It was finally over!”. Write around 150-200 words.

Use the questions below to help you to develop your story:

● Where were you?
● When was it?
● Who was with you?
● What happened?
● What could you see or hear?
● How did you feel?
● What did you do next?
● How did it end?

Remember to:
● Give your story a title.
● Give enough information to set the scene.
● Make your story interesting for the reader.
● Give your story a strong ending.
● Use different past tenses (Past tense, Past Continuous Tense, etc.) to
describe what happened.
● Use appropriate linkers and time expressions (As soon as, after, until,
during, etc.) to show the order of the events.
● Include some adverbs (e.g. Incredibly, Luckily, etc.) / adjectives (e.g.
amazing, surprising, etc.) to make your story more interesting.
