ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON GULAYAN SA PAARALAN

I. Introduction
Amidst of pandemic (covid 19) we strengthen the implementation of Gulayan
sa Paaralan in our school. Dalogo Elementary School promotes the organic and healthy
way of living by planting vegetables in backyards through the Nationwide school Gulayan
sa Paaralan Program. This activity aims to address malnutrition and promote vegetable
production and consumption among pupils and inculcate them the value of gardening,
good health, nutrition and love of labor.
II. Objectives:
1. To promote vegetable production in the school site/campus.
2. To sustain and maintain garden as a ready food source of vegetables in
supplementary feeding.
3. To include among the learners and parents the value of gardening, good health
and malnutrition.
III. Highlight
Gulayan sa Paaralan is one of best way on how we can improve learning
specially to our school Dalogo Elementary School. Why? Simply, utilizing school gardening for
supplementary feeding program can be a tool in aiding the major reasons why a child drops
out of school-poverty, hunger and malnutrition.
Our Gulayan sa Paaralan started on October 2021. Aside from implementing
school gardening for the purpose of feeding programs it is inculcating among our learners the
values of good health and nutrition, industry, love of labor and caring for others.
Furthermore, this will teach them how to improve their nutritional status and planting
promotes beautification of their surroundings. Gulayan sa Paaralan served as a good
simulating activity in which they will learn leadership and rendering service. As a matter of
fact, planting as one of the livelihood skills that learner will acquire in school that can be
applied and replicated in their respected households.
As they say school is a miniature society. All parents from grade levels Kinder -
Grade 6 maintained their respected Vegetable Garden together with the help of their adviser.
Stakeholders like 4ps, Barangay Officials, PTA members, DOLE-TUPAD recipients and SPG
Officers joined this activity. Ended this activity was a great success.
