I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of this learning session, the students should be able to:

2. give the functions and structure of animal cells
3. draw animal cells

III. PROCEDURES/
STRATEGIES
A. Motivation The teacher will show pictures of animals and let the students name those.
After which, the teacher will ask students to discuss briefly their past lesson
which is all about Cells.
Subsequently, the teacher will ask;
 From the pictures shown a while back together with the past lesson,
what do you think is our lesson for today?
Answer: ANIMAL CELLS
B. Presentation of the The teacher will now present the lesson for today, which is the “Animal
Lesson Cells” and define it.
 Animal cells are the building blocks that make up all living
organisms in the kingdom Animalia.
After the presentation of the main topic, the teacher will now discuss the
functions and structure of animal cells.
C. Generalization The teacher will ask some students to define animal cells in their own words
and let them give the functions and structure of it.
D. Application The teacher will give the students an activity to be answered by partner. He
will give a printed worksheet with an animal cell diagram andgive them 8
minutes to answer.
IV. EVALUATION
The teacher will require students to draw an animal cell based on their
imagination. The activity will be graded according to the given rubrics.
V. ASSIGNMENT
The teacher will now give a homework about the upcoming lesson which is
Plant Cells.
