Getting started with Actiste.
The Actiste start kit comes with the Actiste
device, a three-month supply of test strips,
needles and lancets, a quick guide, a user
manual, and a cable & charger. Users can
also join our online community Pioneers, and
download the Actiste companion app. Profile
information, delivery details and more can
all be set through the app.
We provide personalized customer support
in the local language through Actiste.com,
where users can also find tutorials videos,
instruction manuals and more.
The first release of the Actiste device is for
standard 3 ml insulin cartridges from Sanofi.

Future releases will be able to use insulin
cartridges from other companies too. If other
brands are widely accepted in local markets
in standard cartridge sizes, then those
brands’ insulin could also be used in Actiste,
subject to confirmation by Brighter.
Our supply-chain platform uses the data
provided by the Actiste device to calculate
and re-supply the individual patient with test
strips, needles and lancets whenever they
start to run low. So diabetics never need to
worry about running out of these essentials.
(Please note that insulin supplies are not
included in the Actiste service.)

automatically synced over the cellular
network with the Actiste Companion app for
both iOS and Android. The user does not
need to connect to a Wi-Fi network or pair
the Actiste device with their mobile phone.
The Actiste Companion app’s user-friendly
interfaces make it easy to identify missed
insulin doses and monitor blood glucose
levels. Target ranges, reminders and data
sharing preferences can also be set in the
app.

With its embedded electronic global SIM-
card, the Actiste service offers encrypted
and secure data transfer. This enables
multiple solutions to existing challenges
in the treatment of non-communicable
chronic diseases.
Data protection.
The patient’s data will be strictly protected
through the process of collection, transfer,
analysis and presentation, as data handling
will be aligned with the latest European
general data protection regulations (GDPR).
Data will be subject to different steps as it is
collected from the user:
••Identify: We collect personal data from
users in order to deliver the service to
them (i.e. for the user to see his or her
data on their phone and to replenish their
single-use items). The purpose of personal
data collection will be clearly described
to users when subscribing. While any user
will be able to require Brighter to delete
their data, a basic level of data is required
simply for the service to work. The user
always owns their data and consent is
required for sharing it with their relatives
or caregivers.
