Reflective Essay:
1. What do you think is the physical and mental health benefits of playing
volleyball?
The physical benefits of playing volleyball to our health is, it help us stay fit while
strengthening the muscles in our lower body and upper body. It also strengthens
our core and also hones our agility, force, endurance, speed, and teamwork
skills. The mental health benefits of playing volleyball is, it gives you the
opportunity to relieve stress. It can also lift your confidence. Aside from that, it
was already proven that doing team sports can improve your mental health
because aside from the fact that it helps you become healthier, it also promotes
good relationship with your teammates.

2. After learning the 3 basic skills (forearm pass, overhead pass, and underhand
serve) give their importance to the game?
These 3 basic skills are the foundation of volleyball. They are very important to
the game because every player, no matter what role you are in, you are able to
maintain the ball in the air because of these skills. Also, players like “server” uses
underhand serve or overhand serve to make sure that the service will gain them
a point. Overhead pass is often used by the “setter” because it is more efficient to
use this basic skill to pass the ball to the teammates. The role of the “setter” is
one of the hardest roles in volleyball because you have to make sure that your
timing and force is perfect when passing the ball to your teammates. The forearm
pass is very important because every player uses this skill to receive and pass
the ball. That way, they can make sure that the ball will stay in the air, while the
ball is on their side.
