Aureliana’s Beauty

The Kingdom of Venus a Kingdom where beauty matters. A Kingdom where a person is considered
useless if they do not meet the standards made by society. However, a girl named Aureliana decided to
break that standard and be her own kind of beauty.

Aureliana is a daughter of a farmer and a seamstress. She has large brown eyes, a snub nose, thick lips,
and dark skin; in short, she is considered ugly in their society. Yet, Aureliana dreamed of finding her true
love. A ball will occur in the palace in search of the Prince's bride. She still went to the ball despite the
disapproval of people. Upon arrival at the ball, she became the laughingstock of the ball. Crying, she
went into the palace's garden. She sobs until she hears an anonymous man's voice asking if she's okay.
She told him what had happened inside. She then asked the man why is he outside. The man answered,
"The room has people who look good physically but are rotten inside." She was about to answer when
she heard people coming into the garden. She bumped into an old woman, who bumped into a beautiful
girl and dropped her drink in her dress. The girl got mad at the old woman because her dress was
ruined, and Aureliana stood up for the old woman. Until the Prince came and asked what happened, and
the girl narrated, thinking the Prince would side with her; however, the Prince got mad at her because
the old woman she was shouting at was the Queen's mother, the Prince's grandmother.

The Prince and Queen thanked her for protecting their mother. The whole kingdom knew what
happened and proved that real beauty is not seen by the naked eye but in what is inside. She and the
Prince married each other and lived happily ever after. Aureliana became a Princess known for her
beauty which broke society's standards.
