WATER ACCESS

Through the continued support from the local barangay council and with the initiative of
the school head, the school is being provided with free access to water source in the
community.

The water supply provided in the school can be a source of drinking water. However, we
advised our learners to bring with them their drinking water as other mechanisms in
ensuring safe drinking water for learners. The quality of water is tested once every
calendar year in coordination with the relevant agency/office.

There are numerous ways in order to ensure the safety of drinking water. Some of the
ways of which are either the water from the source is boiled or filtered.
SANITATION
The functional pupil to toilet seat ratio (by gender) is 50 or less. Toilets are secure,
private, with door and lock, have lighting, adequate. Detached Toilets are located within
view of school building and people. Daily cleaning of toilets, and handwashing and other
water facilities are done regularly.

There are 1 functional toilet intended for male and female learners that is detached from
school. One classroom has 1 toilet inside. The other 2 toilets are unusable because the
classroom is for condemnation due to typhoon damage.
There are no available toilets for female learners with washing facility. The cleaning of
these sanitation facilities is done regularly.

Segregated trash bins with cover are available in the classrooms, offices, hallways and
other areas in the school premises. And the school imposes polices and sanctions which
promote the practice of solid waste segregation.
There is no available MRF (Material Recovery Facility), compost pit and or refuse pit for
other wastes in the school.
There is no collection of garbage in the school. The school has identified dumping site of
dumping of wastes that can be decomposed like dried leaves.
The school has functional drainage system that for heavy rainwater although the school is
not prone to flooding.
HYGIENE
With the expansion of limited face to face classes, the schools abide by the minimum
health protocols for safe opening of classes. As one of the protocols being imposed, the
schools must have a physical handwashing facility available that can be used by the
learners for proper handwashing activities.

DEWORMING
For the last 2 years there is no deworming done in school. In CY 2019, there are 70
learners who were dewormed.

HEALTH EDUCATION

The presence of IEC materials in school are evident, as shown in their display like
bulletin boards, and posters inside the classroom. Integration of health education to
different learning areas being taught are also given importance.
