I am an international student from Nigeria applying to the full-time Master of Business Administration program at
Saïd Business School. I am a First-class Honours degree holder in Economics and a Chartered Accountant with
experience in providing financial advisory services to organizations. I have approximately 5 years of work experience
in various organizations where English was the predominant language of communication. PwC and Grant Thornton,
two multinational consulting firms with headquarters in London, are amongst the companies I've worked for during the
course of my career.
I am writing this letter to demonstrate my extensive proficiency in the English language and to demonstrate my
command of speaking, reading, writing, and listening. I provide the following as proof of my English language
proficiency:
Speaking
- Working as a consultant PwC's principal language is English, and I utilize it in meetings and interactions with
clients.
- I am a trainer and facilitator at PwC Finance Academy, where I have led training on strategic financial planning,
budgeting, and cost control in English.
- As a member of the PwC NextGen council, I am regularly at meetings and sessions where only English is
spoken.
Reading
- I have performed market and industry research for clients in my capacity as a consultant, and I have also
reviewed contracts and policy agreements, and other company manuals all of which call for a thorough
comprehension of items written in English.
- I had to devote more than 5300 hours to studying several course modules in English as part of the criteria to
become a Chartered Accountant.

Yours Faithfully,
