Gossypium

Named for the genus of cotton plant which


produces cotton fiber, this lightweight,
breathable cowl in soft organic cotton adds just
the right touch to summer outfits..

Yarn: 1 hank Blue Sky Worsted Cotton (100% cotton, 150 yds) Needle: 24” US 9 (5.5mm) circular
Etc: Stitch marker, tapestry needle Gauge: approximately 2 repeats of stitch pattern/ 5 inches
Finished Measurements: approximately 33” circumference x 6” height

Abbreviations
P - purl
K - knit
K2tog - Knit two together
YO - yarnover

Cast on 132 stitches. Place marker and join to begin working in the round.

Each round will have 11 repeats of the stitch pattern.

Row 1: *P3, YO, K4, K2tog, K3*

Row 2: *P3, K1, YO, K4, K2tog, K2*

Row 3: *P3, K2, YO, K4, K2tog, K1*

Row 4: *P3, K3, YO, K4, K2tog*

Repeat these four rows 8 times. Bind off all stitches. Weave in ends and block.
