EU REGULATION

1. Commission Regulation (EU) No.178/2010 of 2 March 2010 amending Regulation (EC) No.
401/2006 as regards groundnuts (Peanuts), other oilseeds, tree nuts, apricot kernels, liquorice and
vegetable oil

Certain provisions for sampling aflatoxins in certain foodstuffs taking into account developments in
Codex Alimenatarius and recently established levels of mycotoxins for new categories of foodstuffs, the
EU has amended Regulation (EC) No. 401/2006 as regards groundnuts (Peanuts), other oilseeds, tree
nuts, apricot kernels, liquorice and vegetable oil laying down the methods of sampling and analysis for
the official control of the levels of mycotoxins in foodstuffs.

Category of Products: Groundnuts (Peanuts), other oilseeds, tree nuts, apricot kernels, liquorice and
vegetable oil , dried figs, Pistachios, Brazil nuts.

2. Commission Regulation (EU) No.165/2010 of 26 February 2010 amending Regulation (EC) no.
1881/2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs as regards aflatoxins.

Certain maximum levels for aflatoxins in certain foodstuffs taking into account developments in Codex
Alimenatarius and new information contained in recent scientiof advice of the EU, the EU has amended
Regulation No. Regulation (EC) no. 1881/2006 setting maximum levels for certain contaminants in
foodstuffs as regards aflatoxins.

Category of products: Groundnuts (Peanuts) and other oilseeds, Almonds, pistachios, apricot kernels,
Hazelnuts and Brazil nuts, Tree nuts other than the tree nuts, Dried fruits and processed products
thereof, all cereals and all products derived from cereals, including processed cereal products, Maize
and rice, Raw milk, heat treated milk and milk for the manufacture of milk based products, Spices,
Processed cereal based food and baby food, Infant formulae, Dietary food for special medical purposes
intended specifically for infants.
