Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power (NCFMFP-2011) December 15-17, 2011

MANIT, BHOPAL Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal, formerly known as Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT) is one of the 8 RECs established by the Government of India in 1960. The institute has been named after the great scholar, educationist and the first education minister of India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. It is a premier technical institute of central India and well known for its contribution to technical education, management and applied research activities. The institute offers number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and Ph D programme under different disciplines. The institute is located in a green plateau of about 265 hectares commanding a magnificent view of new township of Bhopal. The department of Civil Engineering runs1 UG and 6 PG courses. The department has a prestigious laboratory for model testing of hydraulic pumps and turbines. MANIT is about 15kms away from air port, 9kms from main Bhopal city railway station, 6kms from Habibganj station. All trains stops at Bhopal city station and only few trains stops at Habibganj station. BHOPAL (MADHYA PRADESH) Bhopal is the capital of Madhya Pradesh. It is a historical city of Navabs and well known as the city of lakes. The city was the capital of Gurjar Pratihar King Bhoj. The name of this city is derived from its old name Bhojpal. It is famous for natural Lakes called as the upper lake and lower lake, the largest musque of Asia, the Tajul Masajid and the largest temple of Lord Shiva at Bhojpur. It is well connected by air and railways. The climate of city is very pleasant in the month of December (average temperature around 15C). Some of the tourist attractions in and around Bhopal are: The Bhojeshwar Temple, The Tajul Masajid, The Sanchi Stupas, The Bhimbetka which are located within 50 Km reach. ABOUT CONFERENCE The 38th National conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power will be organized at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal during December 15- 17 December, 2011 under the auspices of the National Society of Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power. The society holds a

National Conference every year in educational/ research organizations in India. The conference will focus on current research topics in different disciplines of fluid mechanics and fluid power and related interdisciplinary areas. Eminent personalities will deliver plenary, key note, memorial and invited lectures to highlight the recent advancements made in the specialized fields. THEME AREAS OF CONFERECNE Fluid mechanics Fluid dynamics Computational fluid dynamics Fluid machines Free surface flow Micro and nano fluid mechanics Multi phase flow Bio-fluid mechanics Flow instability and control Renewable wind and hydro energy CALL FOR PAPERS Papers are invited from academicians, researchers, engineers, scientists and industry personnel for presentation at the technical sessions of the conference. An abstract of about 500 words in any MS word format of 12 font size and single spacing should be submitted through Email: fmfp11@gmail.com. The abstract should include title of paper, name and affiliation of authors including their email address and contact numbers. The full length paper of maximum 8 pages including text, figure and tables as per ASME format to be submitted upto 15th September, 2011. The full length papers will be peer reviewed and reviewers comments will be sent to authors for incorporating the suggestions of reviewers. The final manuscript of accepted papers will be required to be submitted in pdf format for inclusion in the conference proceedings. The demand draft of Rs500/- is to be sent with final manuscript of accepted paper for processing fee which will be adjusted in registration fee.
