3. I am writing to apply for the post of tour leader, which was advertised in The
Evening Standard yesterday.
4. I believe that I have the appropriate qualifications, experience and personality
for this post, and I think that I would find the work stimulating and rewarding.
5. I enjoy meeting people from other cultures and have traveled extensively in
Europe. I speak good French and German, and a little Spanish. I am very
interested in English history and enjoy sharing my interest with other people.

candidate as qualified as I am! I have had five years of experience as a copy machine
technician in a retail environment. I am trained in digital and color technology, and I have
experience with all major brands of equipment.
In addition to my technical skills, I enjoy training staff members and am very good with
customers. None of my current customers wants me to leave.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this position with you in person. I look
