SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
 Jack the machine rear wheel off the ground be careful to prevent the machine from
falling down.
 During servicing, keep oil or grease off the brake disk
 Inspect the brake system before riding.

TORQUE VALUES
Rear wheel nut 400kgf-cm (40 Nm, 29 ft-lb)
Rear shock absorber upper mount bolt 400kgf-cm (40 Nm, 29 ft-lb)
Rear shock absorber lower mount bolt 400kgf-cm (40 Nm, 29 ft-lb)
Rear swing arm nut 450kgf-cm (45 Nm, 32 ft-lb)
Linkages mount bolt 400kgf-cm (40 Nm, 29 ft-lb)
Caliper holder bolt 220 kgf-cm (22Nm, 16 ft-lb)
Rear wheel hub nut 2600kgf-cm (260Nm, 192 ft-lb)

TROUBLESHOOTING
Rear wheel wobbling

REAR WHEEL/REAR WHEEL HUB/ SUSPENSION

REMOVAL AND INSPECTION


Place the machine on a level place.

Remove four nuts attaching the rear wheel


hub of the both rear wheels. then remove
the both rear wheels.


Elevate the rear wheels by placing a
suitable stand under the rear of frame.
Support the machine securely so there
is no danger of it falling over.

Wheel Nuts

Measure the wheel run out.


Service Limit:
Vertical: 2mm (0.08 in)
Lateral: 2 mm (0.08 in)
Out of specification → Replace wheel.

INSTALLATION
When reinstalling a wheel, tighten the
wheel nuts in a crisscross (rather than a
circular) pattern.
Torque: 450kgf-cm (45Nm,32 ft-lb)

* Be sure the tapered side of the wheel


nuts face the wheel rim.

REMOVAL AND INSPECTION
Place the machine on a level place.
Remove the rear wheel (16-3) and
caliper (14-9)
Elevate the raer wheels by placing a
suitable stand under the frame.
* Support the machine securely so
there is no danger of it falling over.

Remove nut and pin from the rear wheel hub and
then remove rear wheel hub. Nut Wheel hub

DISASSEMBLY
Remove the rear wheel hub.
Inspect the rear wheel hub.

Remove the four bolts.


Remove the brake disc.

Inspect the rear wheel hub.


Cracks/damage → Replace.

Inspect the rear wheel hub splines.


Wear/damage → Replace.

INSTALLATION
Reverse the “REAR WHEEL HUB
REMOVAL AND INSPECTION’’

Tighten the rear wheel hub nut.


Torque: 2600 kgf-cm (260 Nm, 192 ft-lb)

REAR SUSPENSION
REMOVAL AND INSPECTION
Elevate the rear wheels by placing a
suitable stand under the frame.
*Support the machine securely so there
is no danger of it falling over.

Remove the rear wheel (16-3), caliper


(14-9) and rear wheel hub. ( 16-4)

Knuckle

Remove the two bolts and nuts.


Remove the rear knuckle. (right and left).

Remove the rear shock absorber upper mount


and lower mount bolts/nuts, then remove the
rear shock absorber.

Bolts and nuts

Inspect the shock absorber rod.


Bends/damage→ Replace the shock
absorber assembly.
Inspect the shock absorber.
Oil leaks→ Replace the shock absorber
assembly.
Inspect the spring of the shock absorber by
move the spring up and down.
Fatigue→ Replace the shock absorber

Remove the four nuts then remove the“Rod, Anti-Roll”.(right and left).
Remove the four bolts then remove the“Bracket”.(right and left).
Remove the“Anti-Roll Bar”.

Inspect the“Rod, Anti-Roll”.


Bend/damage → Replace.

Cheek the“Rod, Anti-Roll”end movement.


“Rod, Anti-Roll”end exists free play or turns
roughly → Replace.
Check the tapered surface of the“Rod, Anti-Roll”.
Pitting/wear/damage → Replace.

Inspect the“Anti-Roll Bar”.


Bend/damage → Replace.

Inspect the“Bracket”.
Bend/damage → Replace.

Check the upper rear arm brackets of the


frame.
If bent, cracked of damaged, repair or
replace the frame.
Check the tightening torque of the rear
arms securing nuts.
Torque: 450 kgf-cm (45 Nm, 32 ft-lb)

Check the upper rear arm side play by


moving it from side to side.
If side play noticeable, replace the inner
collars and bearings as a set.

Check the rear arm vertical movement by


moving it up and down.
roughs, replace the inner collars and bearings
as a set.

Remove the bolts attaching the upper rear arm,


then remove the upper rear arm.

Inspect the rear arm.


Cracks/bends/damage→ Replace.
* Do not attempt to straighten a bent arm,
this may dangerously weaken the arm.

Inspect bearings.
Wear/damage→ Replace.

Check the lower rear arm brackets of the


frame.
If bent, cracked or damaged, repair or
Check the tightening torque of the rear
arms securing nuts.
Torque: 450 kgf-cm (45 Nm, 32 ft-lb)

Check the lower rear arm side play by


moving it from side to side.

If side play noticeable, replace the inner


collar and bearing as a set.

Check the lower rear arm vertical


movement by moving it up and down.
If vertical movement is tight, binding or
roughs, replace the inner collar and
bearings as a set.

Remove the two bolts attaching the lower rear


arm, then remove the lower rear arm.

Bolts

Inspect the lower rear arm.


Cracks/bends/damage → Replace.
* Do not attempt to straighten a bent arm,
this may dangerously weaken the arm.

Inspect bearings.
Wear/damage → Replace.

INSTALLATION
Reverse the “REAR SHOCK ABSORBER
REMOVAL AND INSPECTION” procedures.
*Apply grease onto the dust seal lips and
bearings.

Install the upper & lower arm and


tighten the nut。
Torque:450 kgf-cm (45 Nm, 25 ft-lb)

Install the Shock Absorber & lower arm


and tighten the nut。
Torque:400kgf-cm ( 40Nm, 29 ft-lb)

Install the rear wheel hub and tighten the


nut.
Torque: 1000 kgf-cm (100 Nm, 72 ft-lb)

Install the rear wheel and tighten the four


nuts.
Torque: 450kgf-cm (45 Nm, 32 ft-lb)

* Be sure the tapered side of the wheel nuts


face the wheel rim.
