What’s In

A. Take a look at the picture below taken from Facebook page, then list at
least 5 posted photos/videos in Facebook, YouTube or Blog site that
somehow made an impact on you

Viral - A YouTube video or Facebook post/page that gets a lot of views in a short
amount of time.

Manila Bay has been trending on all social media platforms amid the ongoing
pandemic. The challenge consists of people pretending that they are having
their picture taken by a group of people on Manila Bay beach. The competition is
all about who can pose the best in front of the camera and many entries have
been posted. Dolomite is a common material used in beach nourishment in
many parts of the country and the world.

Netizens aired out their frustration over the situation through various witty
memes and video clips which circulated across Facebook and Twitter. Critics
pointed out that the multi-million-peso Manila Bay beautification project was
insensitive to the plight of millions of poor, jobless, and hungry Filipinos hit
hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Manila Bay is considered one of the finest harbors in Southeast Asia, facilitating
commerce and trade between the Philippines and neighboring countries, and
offering numerous livelihood opportunities to millions of Filipinos.

Notes to the Teacher

What’s New

Have you ever wondered how to be the in the YouTube or Facebook

trending? Name at least 5 of your own social media follower and influencer.

Influencer - A popular term for someone who has a large social media
following (in the case of YouTube a large number of subscribers)

LESSON 4.1 How to upload a video to YouTube using a web browser

What is It

From the previous module, you were able to develop a video content - working
prototype of an ICT Project for Social Change. Now, it‟s time you create your own
YouTube channel where you can upload your created video. By creating this YouTube
channel, you can grow your audience and increase your influence on the Internet.

Note: Make sure your video file is supported. The world‟s most popular video platform
is YouTube which supports most of the video file formats such as:
.MOV .FLV

.MPEG4 3GPP
WebM
.MP4

.AVI DNxHR

.WMV ProRes

.MPEGPS CineForm

As you can see, the chances of your video file being unsupported are slim.
Nevertheless, if your video file type isn‟t listed above, you will need to re-
export it using a supported format.

How to upload a video to YouTube using a web browser

Here is the step-by-step procedure on how to upload your video to your

YouTube channel.

1. Go to http://www.gmail.com from your web browser

2. Sign-in your gmail account by entering your Google account information

3. Click New tab from your web browser and navigate to YouTube. You
can now see your account avatar in the upper right corner.
4. At the left side of your Account Avatar is the Google Apps.

5. Click the Your videos from your account avatar or Your videos from the Menu list
in the left side of the screen.
6. Click the large arrow to choose the video file, or you can simply drag the
video file onto the page

The video upload page should appear. Under "Select files to upload," click
"Public" and choose what level of visibility you want for the video —
everyone can see a public video, but you can also make it unlisted (it's still
publicly available, but only to people with a direct link), private (meaning
only you have access), or Scheduled, which means it won't go live until a
later date.

7. While the video uploads, you can enter information like the name and
description of the video.
8. Enter information about the video like License, category, etc.

9. You Tube Studio

The private administration panel for YouTube creators on YouTubes website.

Here you can upload videos, edit video details, see statistics of your videos
and much more.

LESSON 4.5 How to generate a technical report interpreting data

analytics on general aspect of search, search visibility, reach and virality

Understanding how site visitors behave once on your website, learning

what your best site content is, and finding out where users come from is
crucial to scaling your site and expanding your brand‟s reach.

Here are several key metrics you need to pay particular attention to when
tracking your site traffic with Google Analytics:

Acquisition overview. You can access it using the menu in the left sidebar of
your Google Analytics dashboard. Tells you where your visitors originated
from, such as search engines, social networks or website referrals. This is a
key section when determining which online marketing tactics are bringing
the most visitors to your website.

Traffic sources. Every referral to a web site has an origin, or source.

Possible sources include: “google” (the name of a search engine),
“facebook.com” (the name of a referring site), “spring newsletter” (the
name of one of your newsletters), and “direct” (users that typed your URL
directly into their browser, or who had bookmarked your site).

Organic Search—Visitors who come to your website after

searching Google.com and other search engines
Paid Search—Visitors who come to your website from an AdWords
or other paid search ad
Direct—Visitors who come to your website without a traceable
referral source, such as typing your URL into their address bar or
using a bookmark on their browser
Referral—Visitors who come to your website from another website
by clicking on a link
Social—Visitors who come to your website from a social network
Other—If you use UTM parameters for custom campaign tracking,
the traffic linked to those campaigns is listed here

Bounce rate. The percentage that were the only one of the sessions

Conversions. A completed activity, online or offline, that is important to the

success of your business. Examples include a completed sign-up for your
email newsletter (a Goal conversion) and a purchase (a transaction,
sometimes called an Ecommerce conversion).

Interactions per visit.

Exit pages. The percentage that were the last in the session

Goals. Allow you to measure how well your site or app fulfills your target
objectives. You can set up individual Goals to track discrete actions, like
transactions with a minimum purchase amount or the amount of time
spent on a screen. Each time a user completes a Goal, a conversion is
logged in your Analytics account.

What’s More

This is a story posted from Worth Sharing Facebook Page and perhaps a
very valuable piece for a Blog, Vlog, Infographic or Memes. Read, create a
valuable piece of your choice and upload to wix.com.

-- "I had spent an hour in the bank with my dad, as he had to transfer
some money. I couldn't resist myself & asked...

''Dad, why don't we activate your internet banking?'' ''Why would I do

that?'' He asked...

''Well, then you won‟t have to spend an hour here for things like transfer.
You can even do your shopping online. Everything will be so easy!''

I was so excited about initiating him into the world of Net banking. He asked
''If I do that, I won‟t have to step out of the house?

''Yes, yes''! I said. I told him how even grocery can be delivered at door now
and how amazon delivers everything!

His answer left me tongue-tied. He said ''Since I entered this bank today, I have met four of my
friends, I have chatted a while with the staff who know me very well by now.

You know I am alone...this is the company that I need. I like to get ready and come to the bank. I
have enough time; it is the physical touch that I crave.

Two years back I got sick, the store owner from whom I buy fruits, came to see me and sat by my
bedside and cried.
When your Mom fell down few days back while on her morning walk. Our local grocer saw her
and immediately got his car to rush her home as he knows where I live.

Would I have that 'human' touch if everything became online?

Why would I want everything delivered to me and force me to interact with just my computer?

I like to know the person that I'm dealing with and not just the 'seller'. It creates bonds of
relationships. Does Amazon deliver all this as well?''' Technology isn't life. Spend time with people
... Not with devices." Writer: Unknown
