Ask student to identify the following words (People, Places, Things)
C. Activity
Identify the noun used in the sentence.
1. The girl and the boy read together.
2. We drove from school to the library.
3. I forgot my Backpack and my coat.
4. My mother cooked our dinner.
5. The kids are playing.
D. Analysis
Ask student the following questions.
Is it difficult to identify noun in the sentence?
How can you identify noun in the sentence?
E. Abstraction
Present a visual aid and discuss
NOUN
A noun is a word used to name a person, animal, place, thing, and abstract idea.
Nouns are naming words that is or can be named. Their function is to name
something. To identify nouns look for words that have the, my, a or this in front of
them.
Enunciate the nouns emphatically when greeting students to grab their attention.
Explain what nouns are and how to use them.
Use objects in the room to help students understand what a noun is.
F. Application
Play the Alphabet Game
Instruction: The first student in line will tell the first alphabet and provide a noun
word of it. The next student will do the next letter and so on. The game stop until
the last letter.
IV. EVALUATION
The class will be divided into 3 groups. Each group will be assigned to (People,
Place, Things). The group will write noun words to their assign topic. The group who
listed a lot of correct noun words will receive a prize.
V. ASSINGMENT
In a sheet of paper write five sentences and underline the noun used in the sentence.
