Round 1 Assessment

The first round of your interview process is a written test. You will be
shortlisted for the first interview round based on your responses to
the following questions. Please save this file with your full names
before you send it back to us as an attachment.

1. You work as a customer support executive in XYZ Telecom Company. You’ve

received an email from a customer complaining that your company has overcharged
her on her phone bill. She has been using the services for more than 5 years and has
been very satisfied with the services. Draft an email explaining to her how the instant
activation of a data pack which was requested by the customer, has increased the
amount of her monthly bill.

Dear Ms. Ragini,

Hope you are doing well. This Email is in regard to the complaint you had put forward in regard to
extra charges on your phone bill. Your complaint was considered immediately and looked into.
When we compared the phone bill statement of the previous month (September) and the current
month (October), we were able to infer that the increase in the bill amount is due to the instant
activation of a data pack, which was requested on the 1 st of this month.

You have been part of XYZ Telecom Company Family for the past 5 years and we hope we have been
able to successfully assist you with raised queries and services.

 2. If your coworkers had a “this is how we do it” attitude to learning something new, how
would you try to convince them to follow a different, more effective method of
working?

With an already established system it would be obviously not easy to switch to a newer method.
Logic and reasoning comes into play here. We could introduce the new technique by highlighting all
the reasons why this particular method is better than the old one. And we can always stress on the
fact that we can be learning something new and more effective.
 3. You and your team teammategiven a project to work on. You have completed your
part but your team mate hasn’t and you realise you have a review next week. What
will you do? 

The urgency of the situation will be addressed and I would help him to pick up the pace and
complete the project on time. Teamwork will be the key here as we work towards one single goal
together.
