ACKNOWLEDGMENT

First and foremost we the members of group C wish to register our sincere
gratitude to God who made it possible for a successful field work at Ikot Akpan Oku of
which no casualty were recorded, we also appreciate our parents for understanding and
also making us available for the field studies also for their financial and moral supports,
we cannot forget the people of Ikot Akpan Oku who spared their time, within their busy
schedules to answer our questions and interviews, also to the village head of Oku clan
who gave us a warm welcome into his palace. And most importantly we express our
appreciation to the Course Lecturer Dr. Jacob Atser, who gave us all the necessary
information required for the production of a functional renewal plan and report, also
thanks to the course coordinator, Mr. Usen Umoren who took us through the practical
aspect of the course, we are also greatly indebted to Prof. E.E. Ikurekong who
enlightened us the more of what it entails to create an efficient Urban renewal report. We
