LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

Dear Admissions Committee,

It is my pleasure to recommend Hoang Minh Bui as an applicant to your institution.

I am Ha Nguyen Thi Thu, a Chinese teacher at Foreign Language Specialized School. I have
been teaching for an extensive number of years and have had the opportunity to interact with
many promising students. Hoang Minh Bui is one individual who I believe to uniquely stand out.

In my two and a half years of knowing Hoang Minh as his homeroom teacher, I have been
continuously impressed by his talents and charisma. Witnessing his growth both inside and
outside of the boundaries of Foreign Language Specialized School has allowed me to fully
understand the extent to which Hoang Minh can blossom under the right environment.

During our time together, I was impressed by Hoang Minh’s broad knowledge in different fields.
He had clearly shown me how good of a learner he is with his willingness to study various
subjects, ranging from mathematics, physics and chemistry to literature, history and geography.
In 10th grade, Hoang Minh scored all As in almost every subject, with the exception of literature.
However, that did not deter him from doing his best but rather, it motivated him to try harder.
His detemination bore fruit and in his second year, his GPA in literature raised considerably.

Sports is also one of Hoang Minh’s strong point. He was a member of the school’s basketball
club and regularly went to practices to prepare for tournaments. He rarely missed a day and even
stayed after hours to practice even more. Because of how dedicated he is to this sport, it helped
him in transfering to other sports such as football and badminton more easly. Friends usually ask
him to play as a goal keeper and constantly praised him for how secured they felt with him at the
goal.

Hoang Minh illustrates adept talent in art. Many a time has he performed on stage, either in class
or infront of the whole school, and displayed great skills in his movements. Not only that, Minh
has also produced a number of short videos for his friends to watch. Though they do not carry
significant artistic value but they were extremly entertaining to watch.
