Structural Journal 8 - Genetically Modified Organisms

In this lesson about Genetics, I have learned that there are so many micro organisms
that is modified by engineers. Recently I have known that An animal, plant, or
microorganism that has had its DNA transformed via genetic engineering methods is
referred to as a genetically modified organism (GMO). Humans have been modifying
creatures through breeding for thousands of years. Over many years, breeders have
systematically selected for certain features in animals such as corn, cattle, and even
dogs. One example I know is the rice which they modified and now we have seen that
there are golden rice and a brown rice. Furthermore this Genetic modifying activity
creates an unusual image of a things that we believed cannot be change but many
smart engineers that these are all possible. In addition, the likelihood of unanticipated
allergy responses to some GMO foods is increased by this. The potential for the
genetically altered foreign DNA to spread to non-GMO animals and plants is another
worry. GMO food sources are subject to laws and strict safety evaluations, and thus
far none of the GMOs that have been approved for ingestion have resulted in any of
these issues. As I conclude, GMOs will probably continue to be crucial to biomedical
research in the future. GMO foods may offer greater nutrition and may even have
therapeutic agents added to them to improve human health. Consumer hostility to
GMO goods is expected to decline if it can be proven that these products are both
healthy and safe.
