The purpose of this event is to orient teachers on the implementation of Homeroom Guidance
Program.

To discuss the important provisions of Homeroom Guidance Implementation Policy during crisis
situation.
To explain the HG Curriculum and its Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs)
To determine the proper procedures in implementing the HG.
To appreciate the important role of HG in the life skills development of learners.

The parents are having a hard time with the HG modules, especially the lower grades because the
modules needs to be contextualize.

Narrative Report on

LAC SESSION ON HOMEROOM GUIDANCE IMPLEMENTATION

S.Y. 2021-2022

The program was opened through a prayer led by Ms. Joecel De Paz a kindergarten teacher, followed
by singing of the Philippine national anthem. It was followed by an energizer to awaken the teacher spirit.
It formally starts by a welcome message and sharing of updates by Mrs. Arlette P. Moquia, Principal
III of Union Elementary School.
After sharing the updates from the division and district office, Mrs. Arlette formally introduce Mrs.
Haide B. De Paz schools HG coordinator as the speaker.
The speaker started the orientation proper with the Rationale of the Homeroom Guidance Program.
After that the reasons and studies why HG should be implemented in all grade levels was also discussed.
The philosophy, mission, and vision of the said program was also mentioned. The most essential learning
competencies in all grade levels was also shown to the teachers. The speaker also highlighted in her
discussion that the HG program should not be viewed as a formal learning area like the other subjects, it
does not have a numerical grading. Grades are just descriptive, there is also a parent teacher discussion
about the assessment result, and it should be reflected in the report cards.
