ESSAY
1. A well-planned and executed curriculum is critical to the success of a
school, its students, and teachers. When conveyed by well-prepared and
eligible teachers, strong curricular design ensures that students reach the
required learning outcomes. Curricula that are carefully chosen represent the
diversity and objectives of the societies, states, and countries that surround
them. Curricula that are well-designed can help students embrace their
cultural identity, refine their personal values, and become strong global
citizens. When developing curriculum, teachers should know the communities
in which their school is situated, as well as the backgrounds of their students.
2. Curriculum evaluation is an essential component of any national education
system. It serves as the foundation for curriculum policy decisions, feedback
on continuous curriculum adjustments, and curriculum implementation
processes. It also aids in determining program outcomes. To aid in the decision
of whether to accept or reject a program. To determine the need for course
content revision. Finally, to assist in the future development of curriculum
materials for continuous improvement.
PROF ED 5 CHAPTER 8
DAGUMAN, FATIMA FAYE V.

1. What are the challenges that K-12 teachers are currently facing in their
schools?
A lack of strategies, details, planning, and knowledge is one of the challenges
that K–12 teachers face in the classroom. Because all knowledge is accessible
digitally, students can quickly learn a lot by browsing and seeking. When
information is easily accessible, educators' tactics are no longer relevant. In a
science class, for instance, the teacher might show a prototype of the volcano
and explain its elements as well as how it explodes. In the meantime, using
current teaching methods, teachers could use visual content to demonstrate
and explain the active volcano. Furthermore, one of the most tough problems
they are currently dealing with is a miscommunication and eagerness among
all those working in education. Many students have lost interest in studying
and are actually carrying on with their hobbies. Due to electoral results and
Planet's timeframe, teenagers have lost their routes. Teachers must take on the
challenge of developing students' mental habits.
2. What leadership functions need strengthening?
The educator, in my personal view, requires to extensively monitor the lessons
of other teaching staff, thoroughly examine the measurement instruments,
contribute in the advancement or acquisition of course resources, start
preparing the education budget for training, and train teachers and school
staff. Leading the creation or acquisition of teaching material, and also getting
ready the education budget for training, are critical leadership functions. Some
new teachers are unsure of which academic materials to use. Some people buy
whatever they think is good and beneficial without thoroughly investigating
whether it actively encourages discovering. That is why it should be intensified,
both to protect the finances and for pragmatic purposes.
