1. How would you compare the percentage of saline water to the percentage of freshwater?

The percentage of saline is less than the percentage of freshwater. For the percentage of saline
water is 0.9% while the percentage of freshwater is on 2.5%. Based on the graph we can see
that the percentage of the freshwater which is 2.5% is higher than the percentage of saline
water which is only 0.9%

2. Where do most freshwater are locked up or stored?


Based on the graph above most of the freshwater are locked up or stored at the glaciers and ice
caps which has the percentage of 68.7%

3. Given the data, with water being the major component of the earth’s surface, what factors
affect water quality and availability to most humans?
The factors that can affect the water quality and availability are pollution like untreated sewage
it can also cause waterborne diseases, climate when the temperature is too hot water will
evaporate so there will be only less available water, another when rainfall level is low, there will
be less water availability.
