Primary Responsibilities Of The Role

Job Role Pointers
 Exposure to Internet Data Center and Wide Area Network are essential. Strong skills in IT
security, Communication standards over LAN/WAN, Networking equipment like Switches,
Routerson LAN and WAN.
 Responsible for the Design, implementation, maintenance, and Incident, Problem, change
management.
 Routing and Switching.
 Knowledge on multiple vendor products of Routing and Switching .
Configure & troubleshoot multiple vendor products of L2&L3 switches, should have
knowledge on One OEM completely.
Troubleshooting of Layer 1/2/3 issues, IOS up-gradation, Backup & Restoration.
 Knowledge on IP addressing & L3 concepts,
Experience of configuration on Static, BGP, RIP, OSPF routing protocols, Configuration of
standard and extended access list in multi-vendor environment.
 Experience of how to configure policy and route-based VPN on multi-vendor environment.
 Configuration of static & dynamic NAT in the routers, understanding of how IOS works in the
routers & limitations
 NAT etc, IOS / OS Up gradation, Backup and restoration of configuration.
 Responsible for setting- up of networks, network uptime, performance, monitoring and
other related services.
 Coordinate with user departments and other stakeholders.
 Ensure implementation and periodic updation of the security policy for MPSDC.
 Ensure implementation/establishment of a process for safeguarding authentication devices
against interference, loss and theft.
 Periodic reviews of domain level rights and privileges.
 Maintenance of an updated knowledge base of all the published security vulnerabilities and
virus threats for related software and microcode, including, but not limited to, operating
systems, application servers, web servers, databases, snmp, messaging solutions, etc.
 Responding to security breaches or other security incidents and coordinate with respective
OEMs of SDC infrastructure in case of a new threat is observed to ensure that workaround /
patch is made available for the same.
 Responsible for managing and securing physical output (paper, media, etc.)
 Responsible for monitoring potential and actual security incidents.
 Responsible for periodically reviewing and validating user access rights and privileges.

Education Details
 Graduation Details – BE/B.Tech(CS/E&C/IT)/
 Post Graduation Details - MCA/M.Tech
Certification Details -
 CCNP/CCIE
 Work Experience – Total Experience: Min. 7+
years of experience; of managing large IT
Infrastructure deployment Projects.
 Relevant Experience: Min. 5+ years of relevant
experience in Data Center environment
Desirable Skills & Experience
 Solid Knowledge in network administration and
architecture.
 In-depth understanding of communication
protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols
(e.g. BGP, OSPF)
 Familiarity with access control models and
network security.
 Experience with network diagnostic,
troubleshooting skills, monitoring and analysis
tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools).
 Understanding of network operating systems
(JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
