1. How do we define a curriculum?

- According to Stotsky (2012) A plan of action aimed at reaching
desired goals and objectives is called a curriculum. It is a collection
of educational exercises designed to push learners toward the
objectives defined by the educational system.

2. What is curriculum development? What makes it very it important?

- The multi-step process of designing and enhancing a course that is
taught at a school or university is called curriculum development.
The overall framework consists of steps for investigation, building,
implementation, and assessment, while the precise method will
differ from institution to institution.
- A planned, intentional, gradual, and systematic process is described
as curriculum development when it is used to make changes for the
better in the educational system. The school curricula are impacted
whenever changes or advancements take place in the globe. To
meet the needs of society, they must be updated.

- With a steady, organized path. A curriculum is essentially a list of

tasks and objectives for each subject's learning outcomes. It acts as
a fantastic map, showing you where to go and how to get there.
- Progress. It's critical to keep in mind that a curriculum is not a
standalone guide for a particular academic year. Instead, it's a piece
of a much larger puzzle that connects to every other grade's
curriculum. Year after year, students improve. Your kids will be
better prepared to continue their trip the following year and each
year after that if you use the curriculum with them.

- Common goals. Curriculum also standardizes the learning

objectives for the whole school and offers a direct path for students
to advance from one grade to the next, in addition to helping
teachers and students share goals. Before moving on to more
difficult disciplines, students must master a set of essential
competencies, such as learning algebra before tackling calculus. In
the absence of such a standardized curriculum, teachers would
have to develop their own learning goals and work together in
some other way to make sure that their pupils are on track.

3. What are the different concepts of curriculum? Discuss each concept.

-

4. What are the different levels of curriculum development? Discuss

each level.

5. In our Phil. Educational system, what are our different educational

levels?

6. Comment on this statement,” Schools cannot exist without a

curriculum
