Some people believe that it is important to spend money on family celebrations such as

weddings and birthdays, while others think that this is a waste of money. Discuss both views.

It is often considered by some individuals that expenditure over family functions has been an
essential part while others address this as extravagant practice. To my mind, it is debatable
whether it could be considered as a wholly positive practice.

Draining financial means on family gatherings have been getting popular among demographics
due to its positive consequences. Often people spend plenty of resources in order t organize get
together with their kith and kin. As a result, it helps children to grow social and cognitive skills.
Besides, by sharing expensive gifts the internal bonds of relatives becomes stronger.
Furthermore, sometimes business tycoons arrange musical events at their home for
entertainment purposes which assist them to skip monotony and relieve workload pressures.

On the contrary, nobody would debate the fact that spending excess amount of wealth is not a
good practice in a world where majority of people exist under the poverty line facing scarcity of
basic needs such as accommodation, food and education. Moreover, generally the affluent
section of a country spend their monetary means in celebrations which have been observed as
a demerit as that money could be used for programs that can elevate the youth by assigning
them into several factories and guiding them to start their own business ventures, that can in
turn contribute to raid economic growth. However, such steps still have not been taken by any
of the influential person yet.

To conclude, under the above discussed circumstances it can be envisaged that through
monetary expenditure on arranging common entertainment one can strengthen relationship
among kids, but wastage of the finances can also be responsible for unemployment as well as
poverty.
