While we try to teach our children all about life,
our children teach us what life is all about.

Thought for the Months:

If you are not willing to learn no one can help you, if you are determined to learn no one can stop you.

From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

It is a beautiful experience to see the seasons change and witness the multitude of
changes that nature goes through. The transform ation and metamorphosis is beautiful.
Monsoon weather is very pleasant and is the perfect time to eat pakoras and drink tea.
However, changing seasons can be a nightmare for a mother, as the only thing that’s
going through her mind is - “I hope my baby doesn’t catch a cold or fall sick!”
As parents, you can follow some tips to maintain good hygiene and protect your child
from these monsoon blues:
• Maintain a well-balanced diet and eat healthy food
• Stop them from eating street foods and junk food
• Make your child drink plenty of water and fluids to stay hydrated
• Ask your kids to wash their hands frequently to get rid of any viruses
• Wear a mask if you are not feeling well so that you can protect your child and other
people
Monsoon illnesses may not seem as severe, but it is important that one takes necessary
measures to keep them at bay. As a parent, you are likely to be the most significant
influence in their lives — it’s up to you to help them to feel secure and build their
confidence. Habits and rituals that become a regular part of your fam ily life will have the
most impact. Even on your busiest days, you can show your child that you care during
your ordinary, everyday activities.
May God bless you all!

Rath Yatra
The tiny souls of our school celebrated the glory of Lord Jagannath, spreading the
message of universal brotherhood, love, compassion and togetherness. The three Idols
of Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Lord Balabhadra and his sister Goddess Subhadra
were placed in the decorated chariot. Our children pulled the chariot with devotion, it
is a belief that pulling the chariot is a way of engaging in pure devotion of the Lord.
The little ones prayed and wished that the blessings of Lord Jagannath may destroy
evil from the face of the earth.

Colours fill our lives with happiness and joy. Each colour has its own identity which
helps it to stand out unique in its form. ^ e colour green is associated with renewal of
Nature, energy, freshness, fertility and environment. ^ e kids were enthralled with
the colour formation and the importance of having a green environment. ^ e y had
brought green colour objects (fruits, vegetables, leaves and plants) from their
immediate surroundings. ^ e children identified and recognised the green colour
objects and were explained the importance of growing more trees and taking care of
them. Children enjoyed the Green Colour Day celebration activity.

CONTENTS
It is an early morning start for Rani, her first day to
school. She goes happily singing a song holding her
mom’s hand all along. But somehow Rani feels
different reaching the school gates! She finds so many
new faces around and feels scared as she realises that
she has to go inside alone. She wants her mother to
stay with her but happily agrees to go inside the class
when her teacher comes to take her.

EVALUATION

This book does have words, but the narrative

contained within the illustrations is strong and clear
enough for it to be used as wordless picture book. For
the young readers, this book is the perfect
introduction to their feelings for their family, school,
friends and pets. By showing the pictures, Rani’s
feelings in each image can be vividly described like
being excited, scared, sad and hopeful.
