The Educ. 6: The Teaching Profession AY 2020-21, consist of a list of course goals, course
outline, course materials, study schedule, and course requirements.
COURSE GOALS:
1) Demonstrate awareness of existing laws and regulations that apply to the teaching
profession, and become familiar with the responsibilities specified in the Code of Ethics
for Professional Teachers;
2) Articulate a learner-centered personal philosophy of teaching;

COURSE REQUIREMENTS
To earn a passing grade in this course, you must:
1) complete the writing exercises (30% of your final grade)
2) Submit all assignments (40% of your final grade)
3) Take and pass the midterm and final examination (40% of your final grade)

The Educ. 6: The Teaching Profession AY: 2020-21 follows a vertical design where
structures of curriculum design uses both learner-centered design and problem-centered
design. The learner-centered aspect in the subject, Educ. 6: The Teaching Profession,
can be seen in instances where activities revolve around different emphasis of
constructing and relating; the development of self; the consideration of the cognitive,
affective and psycho motor domains; and stresses the development of positive self-
concept and interpersonal skills. Whereas the problem-centered design occurs on the
subject, Educ. 6: The Teaching Profession when it centered on general education and
the problems are based on common human activities such as social problems, needs,
interest, abilities of learners, life situation, contemporary life problems and areas of living
and many others.
