Industrial Waste Management and Process Safety to be Conducted in Guwahati on 20 th and 21st
of December, 2022

It is indeed an honour to introduce the alliance of Petrodrill Services, Guwahati - Nviron Consulting Pvt Ltd,
Cuttack - SWOT Consulting & Management, Vadodara, under the able guidance of Pollution Control
Board, Assam to your esteemed office. This new age synergistic alliance is an Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative
that comprises of a group of Industry Hardened Professionals with multi-disciplinary, multi-industry and multi-
geography global experience under one umbrella to provide environment, health, safety and sustainability
(EHS&S) capacity augmentation to be in compliance with national environmental laws and industry best
practices for Business Continuity. The training is aligned with the Swachh Bharat and Swastha Bharat Mission
under the Government of India initiatives.

As part of our North East India focus, it is our pleasure to inform that the alliance is organising a two-day
training cum workshop program with special emphasis on challenges and opportunities for Industries and
Corporates in the States of Assam and Meghalaya, on the following areas on the 20th and 21st December 2022
at Guwahati:

i) Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Regulations & their compliances


ii) Industrial Waste Management (Hazardous, Plastic & Effluent) – Swachh Bharat
iii) Process Safety Management (PSM) & Environment Protection – Swasth Bharat

EHS regulatory compliance will cover the aspects of understanding the rules, regulations, policies, programs,
and their due diligence process to prevent adverse impacts on the health & safety of workers, surrounding
environment, society Brand value and Reputation of the organization.

Integrated Waste Management will highlight on the process of handling, storage, transportation and final
disposal of Industrial hazardous waste as per Indian Regulations and the 4 “R” principles that can help
industries to go beyond compliance to safeguard the ecosystem and in achieving the Sustainable Development
Goals (12&14). Special emphasis will also be given to newly framed Plastic Waste Management rules to
support National Objectives.

Process Safety Management (PSM) and Environment Protection: Process Safety relates to safe operation of
the plant to minimise the potential for fire/ explosion and/ or severe environmental contamination. This part of
the training will focus on combining environmental management including contamination source, unbalanced
utilisation of the toxic chemicals in the process industries covering safety aspects, pollution factors, operational
discipline or work process or any other matter pertaining to Health, Safety and Environmental Concerns of the
Industries.

This two-day program will impress upon both relevance and applicability of specific regulatory and
environmental conditions for industries in the North East. The training cum workshop will make the participants
feel empowered with the knowledge to raise awareness to properly identify, classify, handle, transport, treat and
dispose of Industrial hazardous and plastic wastes efficiently in an environmentally friendly manner and in
accordance with applicable legislation also thus contributing to Swachh Bharat Mission. Additionally, it will
also address the principles of process safety management to ensure safe and steady operations in protecting
people, process and asset with a focus on change management and environmental protection.
