Activity 01

If you will be given a chance to solve any existing problem in your hometown what would
it be? Why? Outline the steps you’ll take to be able to solve it.

If I will be given a chance to solve an existing problem in my hometown which is Pateros,

it will be the lack of budget because there are only few investors in our municipality in which I
believed that Pateros has so much to offer in our country even if we are just a small town. We
all know that Pateros is known for the duck-raising industry or also known as “balut” and for the
making of alfombra in which caused an economic growth to our municipality in the past and in
my opinion, is still relevant today. Because of this pandemic, the lack of budget became a
problem in our municipality as only some of the people are able to receive financial aid. Thus, I
want people to see that Pateros has a potential to grow more and that by investing or
establishing commerce, since the tax and probably the cost of a lot in our municipality is just a
budget-friendly or cost-effective, this will give investors a benefit if ever they want to build an
establishment because the fund is just small and in return will also benefit the people in my
municipality.
These are my steps in order to solve this existing problem:

Step 1: Identify the caused why only few are investing

Knowing why only few are investing will be a start to solve the problem

Step 2: Develop a project proposal that can attract investors

After conducting a research, start to develop a plan on how we will persuade
the investors to invest.

Step 3: Make commercial areas visible in public

Making commercial areas visible to public will help our municipality be
capable in attracting investors

Step 4: Make the existing exportable products competitive

By developing our existing products, investors will likely see us a competitive
because it can show how we adapt to changes

Step 5: Engage investors to a talk

The last step is to engage investors to a talk and made them seal the
deal by presenting and showing how we are worth for investing their money.
