Apologia Savunma

The quenchless flame, the worm that dieth not? Kül edene kadar dinmeyen ateş, geçmişteki

When I first read Oscar Wilde ‘s poem Apologia, I initially know that it was going to be one of my
favorite poems not only because of my admiration for the writer but also the feelings that the poem
created in me. The most intense feeling I felt and impressed me the most was the devotion of the
writer to his lover. Wilde was homosexual, which is, unfortunately, still a taboo in society as it was,
but he was taking risks of his everything for his lover and I think this is what love requires. Even if
you lose your dreams, your fortune, or your fame just one smile, one kiss or one touch from your lover
can make you the world’s most happy and lucky person. Therefore love is all worth it.
