Paintings Quantities Survey For Piping works

𝑉𝑆∗1000
Q1 = 1/( ∗ (1 − 𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑝 )) L /m2
𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑐𝑘𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 (𝜇)
QT ( L)=At* Q1

Where :
1- Q1 →painting quantity in liter for 1 square meter
2- QT →Total painting Quantity in liter
3- AT → Total surface area of pipes ( Refer to Pipes QS )
4- VS → Volume Solids Refer to paintings Data sheet )
5- Thickness ( 𝜇) : Refer to project specifications
6- Scrap : paintings scrap from 30 % : 40 % for piping works

Example :
For painting with VS =75% and Painting thickness =140 Micron
If we have 1000 m in 200mm Diameter , calculate the required Paintings Quantity .
*Solution :
A=𝜋*D*L
AT = 3.14*.2*1000 =628 M2
𝑉𝑆∗1000
Q1 = 1/( ∗ (1 − 𝑠𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑝 ))
𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑐𝑘𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 (𝜇)

0.75∗1000
Q1 = 1/( ∗ (1 − 0.4 ))= 0.3 L/m2
140

QT ( L)=At* Q1

QT =628* .3 = 188.4Lt
