Summary: The U.S. Mission in Nairobi is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of
Administrative Management Assistant.

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of receipt of agency
authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Supervisory Position: No

Duties: The incumbent is responsible for the data analytics of the Management Section. He/She will
serve as Mission Kenya’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) subject matter expert (SME). The SME
maintains the most up-to-date and in-depth knowledge and analysis on government ERP systems in order
to inspect, clean, transform and model data with the goal of discovering useful information to support
sound decision-making. The Management Data Analyst reports to an Information Management Specialist
in the Information Programs Center (IPC).

Qualifications and Evaluations

EDUCATION: A University or College diploma in Data Science, Information Technology (IT),


Business Management, or Administration is required.

EXPERIENCE: 2 years of proven Administrator working experience in either Data Analysis, Business
Process Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Quality Management, Statistics, Economics,
Mathematics, Inventory Management, Project Management is required. Experience utilizing business
intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau along with proficiency in Python or R programming
languages oriented towards data sciences would be preferred.

Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Level IV English (Fluent, Speaking/Reading/Writing) (This may be tested), is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

• Must have substantial knowledge of using analytical methods involving the use of qualitative and
quantitative techniques for metrics analysis.
• Must be proficient with data analysis and telecommunications technology using industry and or
proprietary tools for managing projects.
• Experience utilizing business intelligence tools and software such as Power BI and Tableau to
transform data into actionable insights.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must have working understanding of a customer support, project, and inventory management, as
well as procurement activities.
• Must possess analytical, research and Statistical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze,
interpret, and disseminate significant amounts of information with critical attention to detail and
accuracy. Adept in queries, report writing and presentation of findings.
• Must be proficient in the use of business intelligence software such as Power BI, Tableau, R, Python,
or similar applications.
• Must be proficient in SharePoint, MS Project, MS Office Suite applications (especially Excel), or
similar applications.
• Must be able to develop plans and visual aids including presentations, wire diagrams, organization
charts, process maps, and other aids.

Qualifications: All applicants under consideration will be required to pass medical and security
certifications.
