1- design steel frame:from upper bar …steel design…steel/Aluminum
design….from right bar … steel/Aluminum member type…double click on
column…. Rename member type to be C1…buckling length
coefficient…follow the following snaps:

 then select end wall columns …select C1….from upper bar copy the
number of selection and paste it in member verification list ….then
apply…press on calculations…then design ratios will appear for C1
columns :

 Repeat the previous step : from member type…double click on
C1…rename member type to be C2….double click on marked sign in
bucling length coefficient….then follow the following steps to insert
braced points spacing:

 Then press on save…select all end wall columns from XZ view…press on
C2…apply…then to make sure it was added to group C2: select one of
end wall columns…right click on it…select similar…select by member
type then all end wall columns will be selected.
 To design group of C2 only :copy the number of end wall columns
selections and paste it in member verifications list then press on
calculations as following snap:

Note:

We used DAM (direct analysis method ) so we did not change buckling length in Y-
direction (Ky) and keep it = 1.00

 Making group for end wall rafters : from member type …double click on
beam …. Rename it to be R1….keep Ky as it is=1.00 (as we use DAM
(direct analysis method ))….change Kz only as mentioned previous….
Spress on save…Select end wall rafters…. apply… select one end wall
rafter…right click on it….select similar….select by member type….copy
number of selection from upper bar…paste it in member verification list
…. Calculations as following snaps:

 Regarding any intermediate rafter that consists of two parts of built up
sections…. we need to make it as one bar as following: from member
type …. Double click on R1….rename it to be R2…..keep Ky=1.00 and do
the same process in Kz as mentioned previous….from definitions menu
press on new…and follow the following snaps:
