TEN SEASONS

The Murmurtide occurs sporadically, like a wave of fragrant blossoms and


summer heat. Dreams become portentous in the heady humidity of this

are thus common household decorations after the last harvest of the year.
The name locals give to the true darkness produced by the temporary
synchronization of the iron plates orbiting their city. A leftover defensive

to 3 months.
Celebratory name for a special spring that occurs every 5 years when a
second, temporary sun emerges with the true sun after the long dark of

winter. Each temporary sun is named after a recently deceased hero or
elder.
The accumulated ash of summer wild res can sometimes create a false
autumn to the south, coating everything with dull ash. Houses are built

with no doors or windows facing north, and “looking northwards” has
become a colloquialism for “inviting misfortune.”
A mild, second winter that occurs when both moons experience a

monitored to ensure stable population growth. However, it’s water has
become a luxury commodity.
Green Autumns are celebrated for the mild winter they promise. Named
after a migratory green bird that will sometimes come and cover branches

after their leaves have fallen. Their arrival is a sign of fortune, plenty of
food, good health, and longevity.
