DESCRIPTIVE WRITING
VIDEO - AR DANIEL LIBESKIND TED TALK

Architecture is a language

In this vedio Ar Daniel Libeskind discuss his work and way of his
working. He believes that architecture is language . He was inspired
by James Joyce and by his writings . He used to think on his writings
and try to interpret in his designs .
He was musician and he believes that music and architecture is
related to each other . Emotionally Architecture is complex and as
abstract as music and it communicate to the soul .
He used to draw drawings in abstract form while starting designing
for an building . Drawing is source of architecture when it is done by
hand itself it connects mind and soul.
Architect believed that a building is not a repetition of another
building . He said it is not necessary that building must have same
formula. A building is not really built of the same aspect that of
buildings that we have seen before. When architect had chance to
design small house for two art lovers, he thought of designing
something different from other houses. Which is kind of stainless
steel and folded spaces which has real wood and not cladding in its
interior.

This house is not organised as usual houses. And have unusual

relation to the landscape. Which is located in a fantastic landscape
which is full of light and full of liveliness
Ar Daniel Libeskind was always interested in history he always
believed that every site has its own history and while designing he
always embrace it and try to make it in design. one example of it is
military history museum one of the largest museum in Germany. Ar
thought about past of the Germany and derived simple concept—
you could see it as an arrow, a missile, a crashed plane, a knife or
sword, the prow of a warship—is an uncharacteristically direct
choice of symbolism by Libeskind, who is sometimes inclined to over-
intellectualize in his search for form. the new section is grafted to the
old, the steel structure lightly clasping the iron-and-sandstone
mother ship with a certain amount of internal reconstruction
providing wider-span spaces.

As an responsible Architect Daniel Libeskind thought of bringing

nature and space together and example is his own skyscraper office
building and social housing on the waterfront which is low cost
housing.
