How to Choose Activities on the Engage Portal

Parents are requested to choose activities for their children on the Engage portal. Keep in mind that this may
not lead to the actual enrolment for those activities. Students will be officially enrolled in activities after the
enrolment process is complete. Please follow the enrolment steps from a computer or laptop rather than from
a mobile phone for the best results.

Each parent will choose from one to three activities offered each day and order them by the importance of
activity to their children. The school will then run an algorithm that will allocate students into activities, taking
into consideration many factors, such as the number of activities chosen by a student, the minimum and
maximum numbers of students allowed in that activity, and the first or the only choices of students for those
activities.

Students will be able to sign up for no more than 3 activities for any single day (only one activity will eventually
be assigned your child for that day).

Students will be enrolled in no more than 3 activities per week.

After the school finishes the final enrolment process, you will not be able to choose or change activities for your
children, so please make sure that your choices are final before you submit them. After the allocation process is
done, the enrolled activities will appear on the student’s Engage timetable. Kindly note the below important
days regarding enrolment process.

 9 to 18 September – Registration
 19 September – Allocation process
 20 September – Final enrolment notification in Engage
Below are the paid clubs at CSB: (Invoices will be sent after the registration process and these costs are per
term.) Please note that payments will not be refunded for cancellation of external clubs.
Ballet – 500 RON

Karate – 500 RON

Architecture Club – 1200 RON

Chemistry for Me – 500 RON

Please note that there will be no afternoon transportation for students enrolled in activities. If your child
participates in any activity, he or she will need to be picked up from school on the day of the activity at 3:45
pm.
To sign up for after-school activities, follow the steps below in order to choose your child’s activities:

1- Access the parent portal on the Engage platform.

2- On your home page, access pupil details section, in the right upper part of the screen, and click on view
details.

3- Click on book activities module.

4- Choose the required term.

5- Choose the required day.

1- Now on the left side, you will see the available activities for the chosen day. Select no more than 3
activities for that day by the importance of activity to your child.

2- Drag and drop the required activity into the fields to the right side. You can choose at least one and
maximum of three. Please take into consideration that the activity on the top will have more chances to
be allocated for your child, the one at the bottom, will have fewer chances. At this point, you have
chosen the activities your child desires but it does not mean that enrolment is guaranteed.
 3- This procedure will send your choices to the school. After running the allocation process, and enrolling
your child in one of the three activities on that day, those slots on the right side will turn into green, you
will no longer be able to change your options by dragging back. Your choices are now final and the
enrolment has been completed.

4- At this stage, your child will be officially enrolled in that the allocated activity; moreover, you will
receive a notification in the parent portal and the activity will start appearing on your child’s Engage
timetable.

Important notes regarding the enrolment

The below blue fields do not mean you child is enrolled in the activities; it is only showing your choices.

The below green fields mean you child is definitely enrolled in the activity.
Only the days with a ribbon next to them will guarantee the final enrolment of your child in the activity.
