Formative Group Presentation, HR9691 (2021-22)

The task

For this exercise you will be a group of independent consultants tasked with delivering a 15-
minute presentation to an organisation on the practical steps the organisation can take to
support a particular Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). The organisation is open to
constructive criticism, positive ideas and an honest and clear assessment of challenges and
potential costs involved.

The organisation would also like you to provide some theoretical and critical insight into its
efforts to meet the challenges of a particular SDG, so they have requested that you draw on
at least one organisational theory to support your analysis.

Your presentation can be based around any one of the 17-Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs), but we recommend that you choose one that you think is particularly relevant for
your chosen organisation.

Instructions

The group presentation will be a 15-minute power point presentation with a 5-minute session
of audience questions and answers. Each member of your group will be expected to present.
Presentations will take place during your seminar session in the weeks starting 21 March
and 28 March (weeks 9 and 10). You will be put into your presentation groups by your
seminar tutor in your seminar session in Week 5.

Written and oral formative feedback on your group presentations will be provided to your
group by your seminar tutor in week starting 4 April (after week 10).

The presentation itself will be unmarked but for the module assessment you will need
to include a succinct reflective account of how you have used the formative feedback
on your group presentation in preparing your written assessment. You will also need
to include a screen shot/photograph/scan of the signed formative feedback sheet that
your seminar tutor will provide to your group.
