THE IMPACT OF CONSUMING JUNK FOOD ON THE HEALTH OF

CHILDREN AGES 8 -10 YEARS OLD IN SITIO CUTTA BARANGAY LALIG

TIAONG QUEZON
INTRODUCTION
One of the essential factors for a long life is good eating and healthy lifestyle.
Everyone is free to purchase as much food as they want to consume.
Unfortunately, the world of today has become attached to a system of food
intake that has a number of negative impacts on health.
People in our society eat junk food because they enjoy the taste, but they are
unaware of the negative effects that consuming too much junk food might have
impact on their health. Children's guardians are aware of the negative effects of
eating junk food, but due to their children's tantrums, they give it to them
without thinking about what will happen next. Moreover, we were so driven by
our desires that we had little time to truly consider whether or not what we were
consuming was healthy. Our society has had a significant impact on people's
eating behaviors and has compelled many individuals to consume fancy, high-
calorie fast food, or "junk food."

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

The foods we eat are becoming increasingly sensitive to our health. In order
to be in a good situation or to get healthy, we need to have a healthy eating
lifestyle. And it is recommended that everyone eats foods with good components
and histories. However, because we have adjusted to people's changing dietary
habits and food tastes, even if junk food is unhealthy, it still serves as many
people's favourite comfort meal.

There may be a number of long-term effects on health if we consume

primarily junk food for numerous weeks, months, or years. For instance, high
levels of bad cholesterol in the blood, which might be a sign of heart disease. Junk
food consumption can also raise the chance of developing illnesses including
hypertension and stroke. Hypertension and stroke can occur because of the high
amounts of cholesterol and salt in junk foods we take, or childrens take.

Children in particular are increasingly very dependent on junk food as a

means to cope with their problems when they are stressed out and ill from their
schoolwork. According to my research, junk foods can trigger the “happy
hormone,” dopamine, to be released in the brain, making us feel good when we
eat these foods. This can lead us to wanting more junk food to get that same
happy feeling again. That's why children more likely to eat junk food than other
foods.
The harmful effects of junk food on the bodies of children between the
ages of 8 to 10 will be shown in this experiment. In this study, we will talk about
how junk food affects kids' health and why kids are more inclined to consume
junk food. Additionally, we'll discuss the value of avoiding from junk food and how
to address parents' concerns with their children's wants. It will demonstrate the
distinctions between consuming nutritious meals and junk food, as well as how
these problems can be solve
