Structural analysis is the process of

breaking words down into their basic parts


to determine word meaning through
affixes, prefixes, and suffixes.
Affixes are prefixes and suffixes; they are
words that can be added to a root word or
base word to add a new word.
Prefix- part of word that is placed at the beginning
of a word to change its meaning.
