ALABAT BTLED HE1

ACTIVITY NO.6 “ A OR B? CHOOSE WISELY”

B.
This lesson enhanced my understanding of communication by broadening my knowledge and
assisting me in becoming educated enough to understand communication, including the delivery and
receiving of both verbal and non-verbal information.
When we talked about communication, I assumed we were talking about just disseminating or
exchanging messages. My perception was incorrect when I read and studied this lesson. In order to have
an efficient and effective communication, there are elements, processes, and types of communication that
we should know.

ACTIVITY NO.7 “ SAY WHAT YOU THINK”

1. The four pictures depict a mood of getting annoyed.
2. In the picture, the girl is hesitant. I think the picture depicts a verbal type of communication; I've never
been in a situation like her.
3. It seems that the two are couple then they had a fight. I think it's an intrapersonal type of communication.
4. I think that the boss is not satisfied or maybe the report was wrong that’s why he got mad. If ever I am in
the same predicament, I would be very anxious but I will try my best to face my boss to ask if where and
what are our shortcomings.
5. The woman with eyeglasses reacted that way because I think the way the reporter deliver the message
or the report is too boring and dull.
6. In overall, I don’t think all the pictures that was shown shows efficient and harmonious communication.
Everyone in the picture are annoyed to express their selves.

ANALYSIS
The quote means that when you speak up, you should think twice or even a thrice before you
speak. If that words or phrase of yours can’t hurt others. Be mindful enough with your thoughts, because
thoughts and words are choices, knowing how to think and speak in a very thoughtful way, feels good and
helps build the life you want can be quite beneficial.
2. I feel comfortable when communicating when I talked in my dialect which is bisaya. Whenever I speak
using my dialect, I can freely express myself very well. I don’t need to filter out or to think what the
translation of the word when speaking.
3. I usually communicate with my parents through verbally since we just live in just one roof, while in my
friends, we just chat each other through messenger and other social media apps. Sometimes if we got a
time to hangout, that’s the time when we talk verbally. However in my teacher, I communicate with my
teacher through chats and sometimes verbally when we have our zoom meetings which allows us to
interact with my teacher.
4. When I met a stranger who is from other foreign country through online. I felt uncomfortable that time
because of language barrier. We need to spoke using English language so that we can understood each
other. I can speak English but sometimes I just can’t really express myself and say what I really wanted to
say.

ACTIVITY NO.8 “COMIC STRIPS: SEE WHAT THEY HEAR”

1. I think the girls are misunderstanding each other. They should consider the 9C's of principle of effective
communication. Active listening, speak from your own experience, strive to understand are the ethics to
consider and the barriers is credibility
2. The sender should have clarity, concreteness, courtesy and conciseness. The conversation gets
messed up since the since the sender didn’t get himself relay the message he wants to send to the
receiver, that’s he should obtain or consider to be truthful and honest. I think the barrier is filtering.
3. Creativity and captivating the sender should possess. The ethical consideration of the comic is active
listening. As you can see, the receiver is distracted and couldn’t hear. The sound of the TV is the barrier in
communication.
4. I really think that the girl is just lying just to hangout with her friends. She should be truthful and honest in
terms of ethical consideration the barriers to effective communication are filtering and credibility.
5. The sender should observe concreteness, correctness, and consideration. The sender us lying and
making up stories. He should be truthful and honest and speak non judgmentally. Filtering and credibility
are the barriers of communication.
