Electronic Era

- The evolution of technology. It is the beginning of a new age where communication and
transmission of information is faster. Moreover, this is the age where people utilized the use of
electricity that led to invention of electrical circuits and computers that made long distance
communication more efficient.

Aside from the invention of Transistors, Mainframe Computers, and PC’s. Here are the other machines
invented under Electronic Age

ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator Calculator) 1945

- It is the first large-scale computer to run without being slowed by any mechanical parts. This
was used by the U.S. Army to calculate complex wartime ballistic tables. John Mauchly and J.
Presper Eckert came up to the idea of ENIAC.

Floppy Disk 1970

- It was invented by IBM. A technology company. It was introduced as memory disk, but known as
the floppy disk. It is used as a storage medium, and to transfer files from a computer to another
computer.

The Walkman 1980

- It small cassette player with headphones. It is a portable audio players and recorders back in the
1970’s.
- Invented by the company Sony.
